Lower part of surface abraded; paint layer losses along longitudinal crack; panel warped This composition is an illustration of Psalm 148, which begins “Praise ye the Lord”. The Russian name for this iconography is “Khvalite Gospoda s nebes”, i.e. the opening verse of the psalm in Russian.
