Signed (verso) in brown ink: "Piet. Santo Bartoli" Provenance: N. Tessin the younger (Cat. 1730, p. 35) ; C.G. Tessin (Cat. 1749, p. 160) ; Kongl. Museum The composition etched, probably by Santo Bartoli and included, or intended for inclusion, with the numbering Pag. 300 B, in an unidentified work. This sheet has in turn been used as the prototype for the representation of the ceremony in 1691 at which five canonizations took place. The decoration was on that occasion executed by Carlo Fontana, the sheet was published by Domenico de Rossi and etched by Alessandro Specchi. [Bjurström It.Drawings nr 638]
