BeskrivningBeskrivning: Waldemar Lindström arbetade på Rörstrand 1897–1941. Han var specialist på djurfigurer och vaser dekorerade med skulpterade ornament. Vaserna utformade som kålhuvuden påminner om 1700-talets naturtrogna fajanser i form av frukt och grönt. Men framför allt är de exempel på hur den nya stilen – art nouveau – tolkades på Rörstrand. Naturen inspirerar, men tolkas inte bokstavligen. Det är kålhuvuden för salongen, inte köket. De är stilierade, förädlade och målade i en elegant, ljus färgskala Beskrivning: Walter Lindström worked at Rörstrand between 1897 and 1941. He specialized in animal figures and vases decorated with sculpted ornament. The vases shaped like cabbages are reminiscent of the life-like fruit and vegetables of 18th-century faience. Above all, they are examples of how the new style—art nouveau—was interpreted at Rörstrand. Nature was the inspiration, but it was not strictly imitated. These are cabbages for the salon, not the kitchen. They are stylized, refined and painted in an elegant palette of light colours.
