This painting was a gift to Carl Gustaf and Ulla Tessin. It shows a theatrical lark in which nieces and nephews Lotta, Brita, Carl, Gabriel Erik and Fredrik Sparre are dressed up as apes. With hats and aprons held out they catch Christmas gifts thrown by the host couple from the balcony.
