Björn Dahlström. Grafisk formgivare och industridesigner, professor i möbeldesign vid Konstfack sedan 1999. Han uppmärksammades 1985 för en serie rejäla träleksaker för Playsam AB, och 1994 fick han sitt genombrott med sin första möbel, fåtöljen BD1, i en kollektion som senare utvecklats till en serie med olika sittenheter och tillverkas av cbi/Klara AB. Hans möbler är grafiskt stringenta med svepande kalligrafiska former.

Dahlström is a designer who prefers to work two-and three dimensionally. Among his work are praised furniture for cbi as well as technically advanced products like the breaker Cobra for Atlas Copco. He has also worked for Magis. Through the years he has gained international fame among others at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and at the Röhsska museum in Gothenburg. In 1996 Dahlström was awarded the Design Plus award for his Primus blowtorch. He has also received the Excellent Swedish Design Award several times during his career.
