    Wood: Spruce (Picea sp.), egg tempera
    on canvas. Panel made of single board
    with two superimposed splines (both
    lost); back painted black.

    PROVENANCE: Siri Aschberg; Gift
    of S. Aschberg 1961
    CONSERVATION: Restored prior to entering
    NM: Crack through middle of panel mend -
    ed; four holes through panel, the top left
    one mended with a wooden dowel. Losses
    of paint layer and ground throughout the
    picture surface and along the borders; surface
    badly abraded; darkened varnish.
