CONSERVATION: Restored prior to entering
NM: painting replaced with relief pattern
in gilded plaster of Paris, probably reiterat -
ing the original motif; faces and hands
painted. Lower part of surface abraded.
This icon depicts only the three fig -
ures, without the customary accompagnying
horses.1 In the middle of the
top edge is a depiction of the Old Testament
Trinity. On this icon only the
faces and hands are painted, the rest of
the motif being rendered in relief.
