    CONSERVATION:
    Restored prior to entering NM: crack (20 cm approx.)
    on upper right side of panel mended with metal;
    cleaned and retouched. Cracks in upper and lower
    right halves of panel; damage, with losses of paint
    and ground, especially along the borders; abrasions
    of paint layer all over surface; vertical re damage in
    lower right part

    The depiction of St George and the horse conspicuously
    resemble an icon with this motif in the National Gallery,
    Soa, dated 1667 (inv. no N 9).1
