    made of single board with two super-
    imposed splines.

    CONSERVATION: Restored prior to entering
    NM: cleaned; right hand repainted; crack
    through panel, left of centre, mended a t.
    with screwed-on metal plate; inpaintings.
    Losses of paint layer and ground along the
    crack and borders; yellowish varnish

    The saint is shown seated on an
    epis copal throne with Christ and the
    Mother of God half-length top left and
    top right respectively. The saint’s right
    hand has been repainted to change the
    gesture of benediction from two fin -
    gers to one only.This may possibly have
    been done under Coptic or Ethiopian
    influence.
