CONSERVATION: Restored prior to entering
NM: cracks at the rear of the panel mended,
inpaintings in lower part, retouches
on background and borders. Damage with
paint losses along the outer edges; yellow -
ish varnish; panel warped.
Miniature representations of
Christ and the Mother of God are de -
picted half-length on clouds, beside
St Nicholas. The Gospel text is taken
from Matt. XI:27.
