CONSERVATION: Restored prior to entering
NM: repainted in antiquarian manner;
cracked right through on left side mended,
scattered retouches on borders. Paint losses
along the edges; yellowed varnish.
St Nicholas is here shown half-length,
holding a closed book in his left hand.
The usual images of Christ and the
Mother of God are omitted.
