    CONSERVATION: Restored prior to entering
    NM: completely repainted except for carnation.
    Crack right through the panel, top
    centre; minor paint layer losses along the
    left edge; gold on the halo abraded.
    This icon probably has its origins in
    the Old Believer tradition.
