    tal lines in white

    CONSERVATION: Cleaned prior to entering
    NM; NM 1959: blisters consolidated, loss
    of ground at top edge and to figures rem -
    edied. Crack through upper edge to right
    of centre, with loss of paint; loss of canvas,
    ground and paint layer along lower border;
    scattered retouches all over the surface.
