The third child was also a girl, Adolphine Mélanie Isabelle, born in 1777. From her mother’s character description, we can guess she was the favourite: “Her face doesn’t yet have fixed features, she just has beautiful eyes and beautiful skin. She is a little shy, as she has always been scolded by her older siblings, but she is kind although it can be said that she is loud.” Her father also produced several portraits of her.
