Per Daniel Holm travelled a great deal and, every summer, would take long trips in northern Sweden, in Norway and in his home region of Bergslagen, Sweden. On his walks, in addition to pencil drawings, Per Daniel Holm painted in oils. He produced views with topographical care and a sharp eye for atmospheric conditions such as clouds and how the light fell on the land. This view from Kvikkjokk is a good example.
