Karl Nordström’s view from Skansen shows a developing Stockholm. Along Strandvägen in the front right of the background, several houses were built in the 1880s as homes for the growing wealthy bourgeoisie. Further into the city, factories can still be found that were later torn down in favour of housing construction.
