    Richard Bergh painted this portrait of Bodil Faber in Tyresö, where he was staying with Prince Eugen together with her father Viggo Johansen in the summer of 1905. The portrait is painted impromptu and its illumination seems to come from a warm, bright sunset. The portrait conveys an image of Faber as a deeply reflective person. Note in particular the small blue bow and the visual effect it has on the painting as a whole.
