Per Krafft the Elder was a pupil of Roslin in Paris, and also worked in Bayreuth and Warsaw before returning to Sweden. Emanuel Swedenborg was a scientist and a spiritual philosopher. Following repeated visions, he resigned from the Board of Mines in 1743 to devote himself to the study of the Bible and the philosophy of religions. His writings include the interpretation of the Bible he proudly holds the manuscript of here: Apocalypse Revealed (1766).
