BiographyBorn in Lanciano in the Abruzzi to a ceramist
presumably in 1510–15, Lanziani was active in
Venice where he moved in the 1520s. Alongside
altarpieces, he received private commissions for
easel paintings,mostly on devotional subjects. He
was close to the art of Bonifacio Veronese and
profoundly inspired by Titian.
