The theatrical and musical performance the Fête de Diane was a celebration of Queen Sofia Magdalena in August 1778. Temporary staging had been built up at what is now the hill Floras Kulle at Drottningholm with spectator stands, an arena and painted scenery depicting Diana’s temple. The festivities concluded with a grand illumination and banquet in the background bosquet, known as Stjärnan, the star.
