Gustaf Lundberg has succeeded in capturing the elderly woman’s very characterful face. This he achieves with clearly visible strokes containing russet, blue and green. The artist has also masterfully reproduced the materials in the fur edging and the blue wool. The portrait was formerly believed to be of the daughter of Nicodemus Tessin the Younger.
