Ingeborg Eggertz studied at Tekniska skolan and the Academy of Fine Art. In 1883, she went to Paris, where she started her own school for “young ladies of noble and wealthy birth”. She also taught painting to women in Sweden. Like many women artists, Eggertz devoted herself mainly to genre painting and portraits. But she also painted many atmospheric landscapes, such as this one of a blossoming cherry tree in springtime.
