The Chef is two paintings in one. If you turn it one way, it shows a lid being lifted from a plate filled with delicious steaks. When the artwork is turned upside down, you see a male face, where the bird's body becomes a scruffy nose and its head the man's eye. The dish turns into a beret, with the lemon slice as an elegant medallion, and the lid makes a collar. The Chef was once part of Emperor Rudolf II's collection in Prague.
