    When Freyja caught sight of the magnificent Brisinga necklace she could not withstand its beauty but accepted the dwarfs demand of a night each with the goddess of love. There are many stories about Freyja and the Brisinga jewel and this painting portrays the occassion when Odin's son Heimdal returns the necklace after it has been stolen.
