The concrete chair violated the criteria of the Swedish furniture quality standards in all possible ways. It is not ergonomic, not easy to move around, not mass produced, not cheap and not wear resistant. This was a chair for the eye – not for the butt, Källemo’s CEO Sven Lundh said when he decided to produce it. Concrete was made in 100 numbered copies. It was an early example of “limited edition” in the design world.
